Do I need a referral to see a dietitian?
YES, if you have MEDICARE. We recommend having a referral signed by Doctor (not an NP/PA) for a nutrition consult regardless of the insurance provider. Some insurance plans may require a referral, while others may not. It's best to check with your insurance provider to understand their specific requirements.
What can I expect during a consultation? Expect a discussion about your medical history, current eating habits, medication, lifestyle and goals. Initial appointments can be between 60-90 minutes depending on the needs of each individual. Follow ups can be between 30-60 minutes depending on the individual.
Can I see a dietitian virtually?
YES. We offer virtual consultations, which can be a convenient option for those with busy schedules or limited access to in-person appointments.
Do you accept insurance? Yes. We are in network with Medicare, BCBS, Superior, Ambetter, Wellcare and Humana. Accepting soon- Cigna. Check in with us if your insurance is not listed. We can provide a superbill for clients who are out of network. A superbill can be submitted to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
What payment do you take? Cash Pay ($90 Initial|$70 Follow-up). Insurance- Currently taking Blue Cross Blue Shield, Superior, Ambetter, Wellcare, Humana and Medicare.
